Our history

The roots of our work

A company steeped in tradition, J. Köhle was established in 1872 in Pforzheim, Germany. As early as 1919, the Köhle family - our family - began to operate the business.

In 1926 we first became involved with the fascinating technology of producing highest quality clasps. Our many years of experiences in the discipline as well as our technical and professional know-how are attrib-utes that are now reflected in the premium quality of our clasps and jewellery creations. In recent years we have designed our one-of-a-kind JKa Portfolio and links that make jewellery exiting.

Our company is now in the hands of the 3rd generation of owners and is still headquartered in Pforzheim and is under the successful management of Karina and Norbert Ratzlaff as well as Margit Kühnel.
